There are many villains we love to hate, then there are some villains that can be likeable. But do you have any idea what it feels like to go on 40-100 hours + in a game, growing accustomed to your main party and even liking them, for their struggles, their growth and whatnot? And then all the popularity they worked so hard to gain from YOU the gamer, gets reduced to 0 the moment the main villain opens his mouth with phrases that just spell "PURE PWNAGE" ??? Yes that is exactly what Lezard Valeth has represented to me. In Valkyrie Profile 1, one of his phrases caught my attention, during a battle in Seraphic Gate after killing mobs with him in my party he says "They say: do not speak unkindly of the dead....so I say: nice try." 

That was just the beginning of my fascination with that character, with all his intelligence and power for just a "mere human." Then Valkyrie Profile 2 comes out with a different voice actor by the name of Liam O'Brien. There aren't enough words for me to express the pure pwnage this spells. Ahhh a true RPG lover. You remember the Mystina incident in VP1 lol. His intelligence since VP1 was just astonishing, and his demeanor is just nuts. Especially in VP2, his whole personality transformation from that servant of nobility attitude, so polite and whatnot and all of a sudden an obsessed, crazy, egocentric maniac that is to be feared.

its funny because I knew she was about to meet her demise.... just didnt know how, but when she walk into that chamber and froze her to death I was DAAAAMMMNNN thats brutal, i was expecting him to poison her something.... but yea I am a HUGE tri-Ace fan, and on this site I consider myself and most likely am the biggest tri-Ace fan... theres a handful of others but its hard to find tri-Ace fans and even harder to find VP series fans

You're right, ALOT of people don't realize what a wonderful set of games they've missed. I rank Valkyrie Profile 1 and 2 as 2 of the best RPG's of all time, rivaling anything Final Fantasy. VP 1 was definitely original and the battle system was amazing. VP2 in my eyes has the best battle system for an RPG PERIOD. I mean the strategy that you can implement by separating your party, setting up pinzer attacks and combo'ing from there ,etc. Not to mention when you start getting into the higher combo's (Seraphic Gate party) it just feels nuts. I also love the fact of how Seraphic Gate adds replayability. I was also happy to see appearances by Gabriel Celeste and Iseria Queen (I mighta mis-spelled that). On a side note, that's one of the reasons I liked SO3 with the appearances by Lenneth and Freya.

probably impossible tri-Ace doesn't do alot of artwork for there games, especially for ghe villians, do you know that up till Star Ocean PSP the Ten Wisemen have never had any artwork from tri-Ace???? they technically still dont either just the in game face portraits..I doubt one transcendental Lezard Valeth pic exist outside of fane art

Hell if the fan art is good I'll even take that lol. I would love to see a true remake on VP 1 and 2 (yes I have VP lenneth on psp), but with VP 2's more refined battle system. I can't stress enough how revolutionary this battle system was. I mean it isn't necessarily turn based yet you have full control of all 4 characters with so many combinations of moves and the Soul Crush animations are amazing. I did like the evolution they showed from Alicia's first Soul Crush to her second, same as Rufus. The only thing that upset me a little on VP2 is the lack of that feeling I got for the Einherjar from VP1. You know, the whole witnessing their lives days and minutes leading up to their deaths. Sure there was extensive backstory on the Einherjar in VP2 but we didn't get to see that you know what I mean?

I agree on PS1 VP1 and SO1 are my favorite RPG's, and on PS2 VP2 and SO3 are my favorite, and yes one the biggest reasons I love tri-Ace is because they add lots of replayabilty in there games and there also VERY challenging... I end up playing tri-Ace games for over 100+ EVERYTIME( SO3 309 hours!!!) tri-Ace is one of the few developers that put the actual GAME before anything else and I love them for it..... I just hope that Resonance of Fate can help boost tri-Ace's name, they deserve it
