Last night I was using the web browser on my PS3 and it locked up somehow, so I got up to turn off the PS3 manually and restart it.  Well, I was wearing rubber soled slippers and must have worked up a really good static charge, because the power button zapped the hell out of me.  It didn't appear to hurt anything on my PS3, but it surprised the hell out of me.

Anyone ever had that happen?  It worries me because I've blown stuff out on my computers that way.

weirdly, about a year agoish that happend to me, i was like wtf! i was also using the web broser and it froze, when i went to turn it off i felt like a electric shock go up my arm, its weird that it happend the same way to you?...

It never happened to me, but I usually get zapped by metallic doors and surfaces. I probably would have been a great Cole McGrath. ;)

LOL! I had actually just been playing LBP. I about had a heart attack when it happened--not because of the shock but because if I zap my PS3 and screw something up I will be sorely disappointed.

Lol actually my controller teamed up with it to zap me. I wiped some dust of my TV(stupid) and then went to pick up my controller and I recieved the largest shock I've ever had up my arm. The controller was fine.
