uh, if the point of both is to attract casuals, then wouldnt natal move more hardware since, as you say, ps3 is already a mix of casuals and hardware (which btw i think is BS) and 360 has none, so those attracted by natal would buy new consoles?

Right so what do you call the users that like flower, and eye pet, need i go on?? Also some of us own Wii's as well, like myself, so yes it is a mix of casual's and hardcore, as it always has been, because there was even casual games back on the ps2 when the first eye toy was released.
Also I never said there were no casuals on the 360, i said the user base was made up of mostly harcore user's
The casual's will chose the best soloution for them, and like I said because the PS Wands are so similar, I can really only see one outcome, Natal is a good idea don't get me wrong, it just will not work with more complicated games, like first person shooters, we have only seen a person moving around there hands just to interact with a few things on half life, how is it going to implement running and shooting and jumping, think about it please it is not as simple as you think.
Please remember this is just an opinion, not fact, so I am not trolling Ok.

u completely missed my point. i was poking fun at your logic. If ps3 owners are 50% casual and 50% hardcore, and if the Wand is meant to attract casuals, then only 50% casuals will BUY A NEW CONSOLE. If 360 owners are 90% hardcore and 10% casual, then 90% of casuals will BUY A NEW CONSOLE. it has nothing to do with whether or not casuals and hardcore are already on the console since that doesnt move hardware. dont be such a goalie dude

YAWN... lol. your argument fails, you are not makin much sense at all, people will buy into the next-gen motion controls depending on these things(not including Wii, sorry)
1. brand name (Sony wins this one easy for gaming wise)
2. familiarity, ease of use with varying games, and accuracy(Again Sony will win this)
3. software (not easy to tell right now, but i am betting on loads of mini games for xbox360 so we shall see).
4. price (no way can MS price Natal cheaper than one PS Wand and PS Eye /end of argument)
