3rd. 360 will see another big momentum swing just like in 2008. Its amazing how short sighted fanboys are and how quickly they forget what happened in the past. All they see is recent sales and think those mean nothing can change in the future.

the only reason that happened is because x360 got a price cut and ps3 did not, if it got a price cut back then it would have kept up with xbox last year, this year xbox has more than 1 price cut and ps3 has had 1 price cut and a new model but has managed to outsell the x360, that is impressive, more people can now afford a ps3, so the competiton is not going to be so easy from now on.

Tell you what i am willing to make a bet with you that PS3 outsells X360 (world wide) right up to christmas 2010 (brave bet to make lol)

Sony had ridden a price cut in the the first half from fall 2007, this was just Microsoft's (late) measured response.  I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar next year.

360 didn't have a net pricecut this year, it had a SKU reshuffle.

that's weird because i noticed two price cuts just after the slim was released, maybe it was just restricted to one area??

x360 only has a very small amount of price reduction moves it can make, really PS3 has the high ground on this one, and Natal is going to flop imo, because it will only cater to casuals, there are hardly any casuals on the XBOX 360 and Halo only appeals to hardcore users, so yes Natal will flop, whereas PS3 has already a mixture of casuals and hardcore, and the hardware will have the ability to cater to both users, so I believe the PS Wands should have a better success rate.

uh, if the point of both is to attract casuals, then wouldnt natal move more hardware since, as you say, ps3 is already a mix of casuals and hardware (which btw i think is BS) and 360 has none, so those attracted by natal would buy new consoles?

Right so what do you call the users that like flower, and eye pet, need i go on?? Also some of us own Wii's as well, like myself, so yes it is a mix of casual's and hardcore, as it always has been, because there was even casual games back on the ps2 when the first eye toy was released.

Also I never said there were no casuals on the 360, i said the user base was made up of mostly harcore user's

The casual's will chose the best soloution for them, and like I said because the PS Wands are so similar, I can really only see one outcome, Natal is a good idea don't get me wrong, it just will not work with more complicated games, like first person shooters, we have only seen a person moving around there hands just to interact with a few things on half life, how is it going to implement running and shooting and jumping, think about it please it is not as simple as you think.

Please remember this is just an opinion, not fact, so I am not trolling Ok.

u completely missed my point. i was poking fun at your logic. If ps3 owners are 50% casual and 50% hardcore, and if the Wand is meant to attract casuals, then only 50% casuals will BUY A NEW CONSOLE. If 360 owners are 90% hardcore and 10% casual, then 90% of casuals will BUY A NEW CONSOLE. it has nothing to do with whether or not casuals and hardcore are already on the console since that doesnt move hardware. dont be such a goalie dude

YAWN... lol. your argument fails, you are not makin much sense at all, people will buy into the next-gen motion controls depending on these things(not including Wii, sorry)

1. brand name (Sony wins this one easy for gaming wise)

2. familiarity, ease of use with varying games, and accuracy(Again Sony will win this)

3. software (not easy to tell right now, but i am betting on loads of mini games for xbox360 so we shall see).

4. price (no way can MS price Natal cheaper than one PS Wand and PS Eye /end of argument)

Weather the ps3 ends up 2nd or stay at 3rd I know that the gap would be pretty small to actually moan over compared to the Ps2 days.

I think you mean, deals.  Big difference between price cuts and limited time, limited location deals.

No real US cuts, though there was a SKU shuffle ($399 Elite replaced $299 Pro, which was phased out).   The $199 low end (Arcade) went unchanged.

Definitely 1st. All PlayStations have easily won, and Nintendo is no match with their fisher price console.

Oh and only marioboys play mario.

And what do you think of America in regards to it buying more 360s than PS3s?

Stupid.

Bingo.  Just as I predicted you would say... many pages back.  You know a thread discussing people thinking America was stupid for doing this was locked to prevent people from being banned on here.

i put it at 2nd because i think microsoft will replace the 360 long before the ps3 is laid to rest. ( that is if Sony does end up being able to support the PS3 for 10 years, which right now looks unlikely ) ( from a finacial point of view )

When does "this generation" end though?  I took that to be that it ends when the first next gen console that is relevant appears.  If not that, then what?  Isn't last gen over, eventhough the PS2 is still on the market?

Chrizum isn't actually serious, though. Note his comments, and his game library (Wii >> 360 > PS3).

There wasn't a spot for 4th place so I cannot vote in your poll.
DS>Wii>Xbox 360>PS3>PSP

So, heck, at least PS3 will beat PSP.
