Why are there 3 options pretty much saying both are a failure?

so blu ray and cell wouldnt look so bad with the count being divided up?

The cell is more of a handicap to the PS3 than it is a good thing. There are much more powerful processors out there with much simpler architectures.

Uncharted 2 looks great, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to to with the Cell or Bluray (it could have been done on the 360 and PC as well).

I don't think that would be a good idea. The Cell is far more efficient and far more powerful/flexible with regard to what it can do.

Some claim they would have wanted the PS3 to be like a Wii, I think that would have been very bad for consumer choice. The PS3 being so different, introduces challenges as well as oppertunities, but I think being too similar would be very bad for consumer choice.



The PC has more and more become a non factor as a gaming platform, its most successful games are also some of the least technically demanding. And yes from a technical perspective PS3 games have IMO proven to be on a different level already vs 360 exclusives and there's still so much exciting potential available to developers.

Not with this quality on the 360 according to these well respected developers. Their provided reasoning are also IMO solid.

I think it's nice to see top devs being excited about what they can do with their future PS3 games.

I am interested to know if the people who were aggresive naysayers in the past have become more balanced with regard to the PS3 being a sucky console or not.

Your threads are usually very entertaining for thier Sony love, but you boots are planted squarely in the middle of the Sony camp, and it is absolutely disingenuous for you to suggest otherwise.

That being said, I neither hated Blu-Ray nor the cell, so my opinion on either/both has not changed.

Yes, I like the PS3's technology but I don't consider that aggressive at all. If someone would be enthusiastic about being able to buy a good car for the price of a scooter I wouldn't consider that to be aggressive at all.



More like a co-incidence, I would have preferred the PS3 to be made by Philips (all things equal, my HDTV and surround audio system are both made by Philips), I never owned a PS2, neither am I Japanese, etc.

I am also one of the very few who applauded Nintendo for their Wii efforts and still love Mario.
