Eddy looks awfull But the poster is actually pretty old

lol...i also noticed, almost ruined the poster, ok i'm being too harsh...

well i'll be looking out for this, but I don't have much hope for this movie sadly...

The impression I'm getting is that it's following the storyline of Tekken 4 according to the Jin Kazama Story Mode scenario, which is actually not main series canon... Personally, I don't know for sure how they crossed over from Tekken 4 to Tekken 5, but I'm pretty sure a Mishima won the Fourth King Of Iron Fist Tournament if it was completed at all (according to Kazuya's ending, the Mishima Zaibatsu was completely destroyed before the tournament could be resolved, and that's actually the ending I believe to be canon)... Regardless, this movie could ruin Jin's scenario in that game for me forever, because it's clearly going to suck eggs...

Well, first read this:http://movies.ign.com/articles/104/1042870p1.html

Now,read this:http://scifiwire.com/2009/12/luke-goss-wants-to-save-e.php

Since Goss was on the line, it only made sense to bring up Magdalena and Tekken. He confirmed that Magdalena, producer Gale Anne Hurd's big-screen adaptation of the Top Cow comic book, looks likely to roll next year. As for the long-completed Tekken, based on the popular video game franchise, Goss—who plays a British boxer—insisted that despite rumors to the contrary it will open in U.S. theaters next year.

"You will see it in the States, for sure," Goss said. "You will. There has been some speculation that it will be going DVD, but it will definitely be a theatrical release here. I saw it about a month ago at a private screening, and I have to be honest with you, it's cool as hell. It's really, really good. It's been through a number of evolutions as far as cuts and composing and score, all the other stuff, and making sure the colors are as dark as they wanted. It's R-rated. It's cool. I'm really, really happy with it."

and This:http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/124041/411mania-Interviews-Luke -Goss-%28Annihilation-Earth,-Tekken%29.htm

Al Norton: What's going on with Tekken? Is there a release date? Is it going straight to DVD?

Luke Goss: I heard a rumor about straight to DVD and I know for a fact that someone's misleading someone. It's definitely going to be a theatrical release. It was always made for theaters and was not made in any way, shape, or form for the DVD market. I mean, of course it will come out on DVD after the theaters.

It's cool. The one thing about Tekken is that the story is truly funded by the game. Mortal Combat and Tekken are the two granddaddies of those games. I saw Street Fighter last year and I've got to be honest with you, it was a pile of pants. It was terrible. What did that have to do with the game? With Tekken they said, "we've got to incorporate the game into a feature film", not just watching some UFC dudes kicking the crap out of each other for two hours. It's more leaning towards the sensibilities of Blade Runner, that kind of color. It's got a lot more in common with Blade Runner than it does with one of the non-masterpieces of film history, DOA, which was just bloody terrifying in how bad it was.

I think the fans will be happy. I watched a screening of it and it's cool as *beep*

Does this help you any?

Highlighted the most interesting quotes. naturally hes going to be biased and I am trying not to get hyped. But it does seem like it's people who actually gives a fuck about the series. Despite butchering the stoy a little and leaving out a few very important people of it.

Lost Wrong with your post: 1. Heihachi Mishima wonTekken 4, but Jin scenario is the canon ending he didnt enter the tournament but was captured by Heihachi to lure Kazuya. 2. you must not have played T5, or T6... Mishima Zaibatsu is not destroyed regardless of wat you want to believe Jin is the current head now 3. your letting a Movie loosely based off a game destroy Jin's scenario which is permanently Canon? how does that work? the way you speak you make it seem like T4 was the last game in the series... regardless of wat the movie does it wont affect the game story at all

I love Tekken, but I hope the movie is good.

1) Jin's scenario wasn't canon, Kazuya's was, and in that scenario, the Mishima Zaibatsu was destroyed; 2) I own the Xbox 360 version of Tekken 6, and believe it or not, I have played it; also, Jin spent the time between the 5th and 6th King of Iron Fist Tournaments REBUILDING the Mishima Zaibatsu, which, as I said, was completely destroyed; 3) I know better than that; I meant that Jin's end scenario would be ruined for me, as I rather enjoyed Jin's ending in Tekken 4 (even though it was removed from canon by the events leading into Tekken 5), as a result of the movie sucking so badly...

1. Jin Scenario was Canon... The final fight at Honmaru( where Jin defeats Kazuya and Heihachi) can only been seen if you play with Jin.. which the opening of T5 begins with... in technical sense a combination of Jin and Kazuya is canon( jin did participate in T4 but was captured after the 6th round his ending is canon, and Kazuya participation in the tournament up to Honmaru true but his ending is false) 2. Mishima Zaibatsu has canonically never been destroyed 3. how does a movie not released or even in production affect T4? and you know Tekken Movie is loosely based off of games??? its not a direct adaptation
