AMEN to that. My pops would have used a 2x4 on my back. Only 1 time I threw a tantrum cuz I wanted a Genesis (was around 10), and he punched me in the face as if I was some adult who insulted him out in the street....needless to say, no other tantrums ever.

Wish I could say this is a WoW think, but I've seen too many people behave like this for all sorts of reasons. It's all about chemical overload due to emotional distress. People get into this level of emotional distress when they are heavily emotionally invested into something. Relationships, sports, video games... and something turns sour and they lack emotional developed skills to handle it.
