Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you like Assassins Creed 1,but hate AC 2 ?

I`m the only one that hates AC 2 but loves the repetitive but action packed AC 1 ?

In AC 1,many said it was repetitive (and it was),but you had fun progressing.

AC 2 on the other hand,it`s very shallow and the story is not on par with the first.

The missions are ok,but you have the feeling something is missing. Not enought action, feeling, brutallity.

And the final boss was a dissapointment...a fist fight? The game ends with a fist fight?

At least the boss in AC 1 was more of a challenge.

To make a long story short... I`m the only one?

I haven't finished AC2, but I am enjoying it more than AC1 (the sound effects, to me, are far more brutal).

But, nevertheless, I did like AC1 mainly due to the story, and the environment.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

...You're not alone!

I myself am fucking tired of slogging through boring shit due to "story" reasons. I say the same about all games, if I had this stuff on an emulator I'd fast forward thru the slow sections. I play these games for the action!

It's why Uncharted 2, while still amazing, isn't my favorite game of the year. I can't skip the in-game cutscenes, many of the platform sections are boring, and many events in the game (see the train intro) serve no purpose other than to slow you down. I want to play a fun game, not watch a movie!

I can't say too much about Assassin's Creed 2, because to be honest, I couldn't play more than 1-2 hours of it. That intro killed it for me (I don't want to get to know the assassin, I preferred jumping right in as Altair). I watched my bro play through the game, though, and there was way too many... well, puzzle elements. I'd agree the boss battle was disappointing, it wasn't much of a fight. I blame the focus on story... I've been playing Gears 2, and it has the same problem.

i luved AC2 but i got bored from AC1 fast

the story in AC 1 is not shallow?

you are altair you do what you are ordered to do... and then find out that you master is evil.

the game ends. and the devs tell you to buy the sequel, how the heck is that not shallow? ,in AC2 alot of things happen between every mission.

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

and if you think the boss on AC1 is more challenge , you just use the hidden blade and you can kill him with a single hit.

lol, I know, but I find Assassin's Creed II's sound effects more violent.

As for having a better story and more visual brutality, well, to each their own, I guess.

How do you like AC1 and not the 2nd? It's better in every single way, and I was a big fan of the first.

For me AC2 is way better.
AC1 was totally boring.
