I'm very controlling when in comes to games. I almost despise the few UK versions of games that I have. I want either the portuguese version of a game, if there is one, or the EU one. Buying the UK version twists my insides. I repeat, veeeeeeeeery controlling. lol

Well, if it helps, Demon's Souls is the only game I've ever imported. I bought my Asian copy before the US release was announced in March. Easily worth the $75 I paid. If you can get it cheaper than that, go for it.

In the end, I will probably end up importing from the states or buying one of the american versions a few of the stores over here already sell. For now I'm just going with the flow, seeing if anything happens. Demon's Souls seems to be an unmissable experience.

@Spedfrom

Why´s that? The games here in Portugal are always the same as the UK versions, or are they not? :P
The only big (big? Huge i mean) diference is the tag price.

I have the tendency to import games too. But yes, some stores here are very good to buy games. GameStage is one good exemple, like lestatdark said.

^^ You can't, for example, buy Uncharted 2 from the UK and play it in portuguese. The UK version doesn't have that language option. So no, not all of them are the same, even if they don't have a portuguese language track.

@Xen

Because that's the coolest cover of that game and the fact that it is square and not rectangular like the european and american versions, fits the allocated space for the avatar better. However, I own the EU version.

It's not the UK version, it's the NA version, but gamestage also has the Asian version which is in full english text as well ;)

Current PC Build

Oh, the language. How could i forget about that? :P

Oh, i know. Maybe because just the Playstation gamers have that kind of treatment here? Nintendo gamers (and MS?) never get their games translated to Portuguese here. :/

Nothing but the manuals and the boxes (which sometimes have awful typing erros) x/

I was talking about games in general when I mentioned the UK versions. Demon's Souls doesn't have one obviously, or this thread wouldn't exist. :p

At least there is actually a Nintendo of Portugal now, since early this year I believe? Maybe soon enough some of Nintendo's games will also be translated into portuguese.

I feel bad for you guys .

Sorry for the confusion :P It is trully a shame that these kind of games don't get a portuguese version itself, but an EU one would be just as good :)
