Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Club Nintendo + Third Parties.

AM I the only one that thinks that Club Nintendo is a wasted opportunity for Third Parties? It's a free advertising channel and incentivizing someone with 25 or so points for buying key third party games could go a long way to increase visibility for quality third party releases. It could be the new way for Nintendo to demonstrate a seal of approval of sorts for games.

Maybe Ninty hasn't thought of it yet....

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Or maybe Third parties haven't even asked Ninty

i have a club nintendo card for the japanese version of toshinden so maybe its just the states.

I'm pretty sure there are some third party games in collaboration with Nintendo that count. At least I think there is.

I know downloadable games count. But Club Nintendo is largely a NINTENDO service. I see no reason to shoehorn third parties in, especially wehn some of them are doing their own similar service.

to me, I think its a lost opportunity, honestly supporting some 3rd party games on the service could go a long way to foster a healthy third party relationship.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I got points for RE:4 and Umbrella Chronicles and all the Phoenix Wright games.

There are much, much better ways to improve third party relations than Club Nintendo points.

Besides, for this to even be a "reward" for Nintendo to hand out, 3rd parties would have to start making games worth rewarding them for. It's pretty easy to see which games and developers Nintendo considers 'worthy.'

In the "Club Nintendo member" survey, I told Nintendo they should add more 3rd party gifts and 3rd party games should be registered.
