Seriously, this is just meant to display the physics engine, not to marvel at the graphics (that's going to wait until a future demo or the final release). I know it's misleading, but 200 MB? Come on.

I know you guys are not talking about me (I hope, haha), but I just want to say that there's no point complaining about the graphics anyways. I'm sure the textures aren't even at full resolution because of the size of the demo. With that said, I still find the physics weird. Doesn't play like previous GT games at all... which is not necessarily a good thing mind you.

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

As for the physics, well, to each their own, I suppose. I haven't tried it yet, but I know I'm going to buy it anyways, so I might as well just wait.

please tell us your position at PD and what build of the game the GT Academy is running... oh your saying its the final build? ...then why isn't it releasing until next fiscal year?

BTW - KZ2's graphics improved greatly from what we saw 4 months before release

Maybe, just maybe, I talk about arcade racer because I played a lot of them in my life and it feels a bit like one? You know, racing games are not old since yesterday.

I can only compare with what other racing games I've played. I'm never going to be a racer so it'll be up to my own interpretation every time.

You should reread what I said; really soak it in. I didn't say GT Academy, GT Prologue , GT School, GT Woodshop. I said the demo.

 

Is this the official, FINAL demo before the game's release?

Lol 2 cars and 1 track a demo? They do something brilliant by releasing a time trial giving fans a chance to become real race drivers and yous all doubt GT5 now. Like GT5 doesn't come with dozens of tracks and a thousand cars with the ability to tune everyone of them.

The demo doesn't even have anything that makes the GT series so great. Fair enough, people don't like the game off the demo then don't buy it problem solved

Do you think Gran Turismo 5 is going to look worse than Gran Turismo 5: Prologue?

And why have people ignored the ACTUAL game play footage? I've yet to have that question answered.

I'll answer it: because the the game play footage (TGS/Gamescom) is what's actual and some are clinging to the quality of this 200mb Trial like it's what's actual unfortunately. Part of that is lack of research (or ignoring it all together), the other part is Sony's own fault. They should have just done a full out demo and been done with it.

Either way, I don't work in their offices, so I can't say, for sure, what should/shouldn't have been done. With this being a glimpse at their biggest IP though, I would have expected a different approach.

Oh well...

They'd best release a more polished demo in the future just to be on the safe side.

@SaviorX : no it's not, as stated by PD multiple times it's in no way a representation of the final product since it's just a one lap challenge for hardcore drivers with no driving help and no flashy track...

Now they should have made something less confusing, on that I agree. I'm not sure there will be a proper demo. Anybody knows the official word ?

It would be a substantial waste of time making several demos. Game is taking long enough to make....
