Forums - PC Discussion - Fermi GF100 Video Cards To Support 32x AA

hmmm.... I hardly even go beyond 2x these days because of higher res.

By the time Fermi releases will be be comparing it with the R8xx (Radeon HD 58xx, 59xx) or will we be comparing it to the soon to be released R9xx (Radeon HD 58xx, 59xx)?

If Fermi comes 5 months after RV870 and 6 months before RV970 then which do we compare it to?

I think the power of these cards are not consumer ready since console is the hot shit these days unless you want 2560 with a single card(or a tri monitor setup,) the type of monitor(s) in which I'm not gonna buy for a long ass time.

Evergreen. Compare at the time of release, not to possible future products.

Its ironic though that Evergreen which was based off the R600 architecture at its core which was originally panned turned out to be the better architecture in that it bested both the G80 and GT200 architectures in efficency/cost. However as both the R900 and Fermi are new architectures again then should they not be compared as such? Fermi stands on its own relative to GT200 and R900 is not based off R600 so that makes it fairer to compare two new architectures rather than older architectures and their derivatives.
