Half Life and Dues Ex.
Just kidding. I would recommend looking at gog.com first. Their old games have better compatibility with newer OS, better resolutions, and are DRM free. I bought Psychonauts from them and really enjoyed it.

Age of Empires 2. I still love that game.
Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
i'd recommend Shadow of Destiny (called Shadow of Memories outside of Americas).
Its an adventure Game, its pretty short (6 hrs) but it bind's you to your keyboard til youre done. :)

Sir, I thank you.
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
Twinsen's Odyssey
Dungeon Keeper
Age of Empires II
Zoo Tycoon
Rollercoaster Tycoon
Diablo 2
Timeless classic, one of the best games of 'yesteryear'.
You could always find an SNES Emulator and have (quite possibly) the best library of games to choose from. In which case, I'd strongly recommend Secret of Mana.
