Greenberg Confirms 360 Exclusives Line Up for the First Half of 2010

Talking on the latest Major Nelson Podcast Aaron Greenberg seems to confirm the xbox 360 exclusive line up for the first half of 2010.

Here's what he had to say :

" Starting in January we have like a AAA exclusive title pretty much every month for the first half of the year such as Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell:Conviction, Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 , we also know we have Halo:Reach and Fable 3 coming later that year "

Looks like Mr.Greenberg just confirmed Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 for the first half of the year. Good to know!

You can hear the full interview here:

I don't want to sound cocky on that one but...Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction are NOT X360 exclusives...

Keep telling yourself this you will feel better.

Driiing !!!! Ah ! What's this ? Oh yeah this is the reality bell !!! It's telling me that I will soon enjoy Mass Effect 2 and SC Conviction on my PC...

And with a good chance to have superior and less expensive PC versions, I can't help telling myself that, luckily, those games are not 360 exclusives...

Such a shame you cannot enjoy Forza 3, Fable II, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, Gears Of War II, etc, etc on your PC too I guess.  For the vast majority of homes out there, it is exclusive as their PC will not play those games.

This is why I didn't talk about the games you name : Those are true X360 exclusives (and good games btw) and I will not be able to enjoy them because of that. Hey ! that's life ! End of controversy.

Since when the Pc is a console? Still looking at the monitor and not a big TV?

Still sitting on a chair instead of the sofa?

Still using mouse and keyboard instead of a simple controller?

Still refusing to admit that you are in MS word, and they want you to play on Windows PC to fight the other OS?

Still refusing to have fun with your friends in co-op and splitscreen,by giving them an extra controller?

Still refusing to see the big picture? Like console only games, that will never be on Pc?

The PC is a totally different (and much smaller market). If it was considered at all the same market analysts like NPD would track them together. Since they are considered different market altogether the excusivity holds.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

They aren't all exclusive. Some will be released on multiple platforms, by definition it can't be 'exclusive'.

That being said if you buy into the limited scope of just 360 vs. PS3 then statements like these do hold some weight. There is no denying that the PS3 lacks some great software like the ones Greenberg has mentioned.

I believe that you have to look at the gaming world as a whole. Limiting ones scope essentially builds an opinion based off of ignorance. The worst part about this is it creates a world where everyone is right. It's like a multiple choice question on a test: all answers are right, but one is more right.

LOL...Remember when Sony jumped up and said FF14 was exclusive...and a month later they SE said it was also on the PC...and now the PC is the lead...and It might not even be exclusive console to PS3...especially with fees...funny.
