Forums - Microsoft - Requesting all halo fans

I am a major halo fan but I have questions and I want to ask other halo fans that know tha story

WARNING SPIOLERS who havent beaten halo 3 or halo wars.

I want to know what happens to the chief at the end of halo 3 because if you beat the game on legendary their was a planet at the end with the chief slowly drifting towards it.There are alot of theries but im not shur what it meens or what will happen.

At the end of halo wars we dont know what happens to them and the spirit of fire is just drifting along at the end,it is never said in the halo timeline if they made it back.

Also in halo:Ghosts of Onyx I REALLY want to know what happens to the spartans, the spartan 3s,and Dr halsey. That book was my favorite of the six books.

I want to know what you guys think will happen but I have therie.

If they do make a halo 4 or if they just call it something else Im not shur but if they do maybe they will have all three stories cross over into each other.Masterchief crash lands on the planet, everyone at the end of Ghosts of Onyx find a way out that leads them to the planet and perhaps the spirit of fire gets brought down to the planet or it gets attacked in orbit and they all meet up on the ground.

This probobly wont happen but I thought it would be cool if it did and I want to know what you guys think will happen?

I can't answer :)

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

1. Your question about Master Chiefs fate is probably by far the most difficult to answer. Theories are all over the board in regards to where the chief ended up. Its obvious that during his escape from the Ark the slipspace portal he was going through collapsed. There are two main theories in regards to where he ended up both of which could be completly wrong.

The first theory states that Mendicant Bias (an ancient Forerunner AI) purposly closed the portal and that the planet you see in the legendary ending is in fact a Forerunner world. This theory has several clues to it being a possibility. Firstly when the sun rises and you see the legendary planet in more detail there are lights covering its surface. Some speculate these are cities. Many of these light form known Forerunner letters in there alphabet. Secondly we know that at least a fragment of Mendicant Bias was located on the arc. The proof lies within the terminal located on the second to last level of Halo 3. Within the terminal Mendicant Bias is clearly speaking and many believe his words are directed towards the Master Chief. Mendicant basically that he has seen the error of what he did in the past and that he is going to use someone (Master Chief) to be his messenger to his former masters so that they can see he changed his ways. He also says while he realizes one life can hardly balence the billions that were lost in the Flood Forerunner war he would like for the person to be the instrument of his salvation and that he would "make the way stable". This has led many to believe that Mendicant being the advanced AI he is changed the directory of the slipspace portal while chiefs ship was going through and sent the chief to the Forerunners.

The second theory is that the chief has ended up at a shield world and in fact it could be ONYX itself. Theres some problems with it being ONYX though the biggest of which is that ONYX basically exploded into billions of sentinals and all that is left of it is a tiny Dison Sphere.

yeah no problem, yeah alot of the terminals are really difficult to understand without lots of backsourcing and comparing things to whats been said in the books, and by bungie. I've had alot of help learning this stuff through the awesome community at Bungie.net. Theres some guys there that have been working there asses off at figuring all this stuff out.

Also as to your question about the ending for Halo Wars the simple answer is that we really have no idea what happened to the Spirit of Fire. It never is mentioned as coming back within the known Halo timeline. Its perfectly possible that they encountered Covenant in a different part of space or simply never made it back to UNSC space before the end of the Human / Covenant war. This question unfortunatley has no answer yet but maybe we'll find out in a different game / book. A clue is given in the legendary ending for the game. At the very end after the credits you can hear the AI wake up Cutter and tell him "Sir theres been a situation." which definatley makes it look like the Spirit of Fire ran into something out in space.
