The only people that will be buying it for the 360 are the ones that are fans of FF, own a 360 and have not yet prchaces a PS3.

I would not even consider getting it for my 360.

That is so NOT true! I know plenty of people who want it for their X360 and not because they don't own a damn PS3 either. Seriously!? What is is with this fanboy bullcrap? You obviously really like PS3 and that's fine but there are many out there like myself who do not prefer the PS3 over X360.

If it comes out on X360I get it on X360 simply because it's my platform of choice. PS3 and Wii are good systems to but I use mine only when a good exclusive comes around that I am interested in. FF 13 will be just as good on X360 as it will be on PS3.

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

why would they dileberatly make the graphics worse on ps3 just so it could be equal to xbox360? graphics are ment to get better not worse

They did the same thing with Tekken 6...  So, of course, the arcade makes both versions look like crap, and the arcade version is based on PS3 hardware.

Anyway, I wish they'd stop gimping PS3 ports... they've got no problem leaving the graphics as-is when it's the 360 with the better looking version.  Oh well, I guess I could just stop buying even-numbered Tekken games..  But, as for this game, I'll need to wait and see what other people think before getting it.

Blasphemy!!

technically- nope, since ps3 uncompressed and one disc.

the only reason i see one getting  360 if because they want archivements. again ps3 have trophies

in response to 360 v ps3 gta IV version and sizes, 360 is 6.4gb whilst ps3 is 4.3gb

didnt you get those the wrong way around?

Nowadays all X360 games are 6.8gb (game data limit of the X360 DVD). Maybe some launch games are smaller. Don't know about GTA IV on PS3 because PS3 is still unhackable so you can't find any PS3 games from torrent sites.

wasn't it 8.5gb on the 360 dvd?

No, likely be 6gb maximum. Microsoft has reserved 2gb of the dvd9 for security leaving developers with only 6gb of space for game data.

If you're going to make something up, at least make it believable.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

Meanwhile, there will be plenty of people that buy the 360 version over the PS3 (myself included if I get it) because they simply like the 360 better.  I'm assuming there's no real difference between the two other than number of discs and 7.1 audio and as far as I'm concerned, those really don't matter.

I've had a couple of installs of 6.9GB. Never seen a 7.

@Feylic: That's why developers put the largest files on the outside edge of the disk.. And that's also why 99% of the multiplats have faster loading on the X360. And also, if you wanna argue like that, here:

http://img418.imageshack.us/img418/5399/12xdvdvsbdrs0cg.png

That graph shows that the minimum read speed is basically just a tad lower, and the maximum is way above it.. Yes, this is for 12x, since the X360 is capable of that. That does not mean all games use it, but if it's needed, they probably will. And again, even if they use 8x, the largest files are put on the outside part of the disk, and the menu files and stuff that doesn't need high read speeds are put on the inner edge. Because of this, 8x will have the advantage over 2x Blu-Ray in games.. Period.

Yea, no kidding, thats called mastering, but the fact remains that not ALL of the information can be stored at the edge of the disc, and hence, it will not always be read faster.

As for the graph, like you said it's 12X so it's pretty much useless and but the part I bolded does not work. If the game is big enough, they will use a dual layer DVD and it will be 8X, they can't just decide it will run faster at this point, it's 8, the 12 no longer matters. Because of this, over the entire size of the disc, the read speeds are quite comparable between the PS3 and 360's respective drives. PERIOD.

No, the 360 can read Dual layer DVD's at 12x, please stop spreading MikeB's fud, this has been proven wrong several times yet still people insist on spreading misinformation.  Not only that but newer drives are capable of reading single layer disks at 16x.

I have never seen anyone prove this wrong, and have read and participated in tons of threads about the subject here. If you can show me where this proof is I would like to read it.

Ps3 Version will look better....Anyone who doesn't think it will is kidding themselves....But...I understand people getting it for 360 just because that's either what they have or they like the controller more or it's just...more fun to watch the pretty arc-shaped lights in the front be green and not red.

For me it will be the Ps3 version because I love playing RPGs with the Ps3 controller and I'm just sure it will look better on the Ps3, even if just the cinematics.

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Does the controller really make that much of a difference when playing an RPG? It sure doesn't to me. I've played rpgs on my 360 and I'm currently playing FF13 on my newly purchased PS3, but the controller doesn't make any difference since it's an RPG! haha. I can understand for fps games/fighting games/racing games, etc. but an rpg...no not really.
