Forums - Microsoft - Natal won't help to create better content, says Dyack

i think natal will be a good interface, but implemented into certain games will feel abit gimmicky.

i mean it could be used to simulate open treasure chest, open a door with a key, give a feeling more into the game.

like kz2 and uncharted did with sixaxis or the wii mote with wii play.

as it's now simple things, things like movement, 3d space, complex fighters, platformers, RPG, extend the amount of code needed to simulate those experiences.

and certainly have to be bug free.

Repent or be destroyed

Of course it won't help to create better content. It is a camera not a dev kit. =P

Just come back to Nintendo again and make Eternal Darkness 2.

Dyack added further, "I know a lot of people have expressed excitement and that's great to see. We want to create games that are very content driven and tell great stories and I don't see how Natal is going to help me tell a better story or create better content."

LOL. I thought Too Human was a decent game(I am a loot whore). But as far as content went, it was poop.

Actually content is just story. Loot, talents, game play variety is all content. Just mentioning that you enjoyed the game for it's loot just means that it has plenty of content.

I agree with Dycak. I can't see how Natal will help developers make better games. I really think people are putting to much faith in MS. For those who have been around before Xbox and know how MS works. Let's just say that MS has way more failures than success.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I would be angry too if my first name was just another way to say 'dick'.

We would be even more angry if we was some random poster on a popular website bashing people he wouldn't know, instead of being a filthy rich game developer which as gone hands on with a new camera device that, according to that same developer, may not be as big as some are trying to make it.

SK could have sure used some of the features of Natal for that control system they used for Too Human...a game which I liked, but though it could have been more polished and tested.
