But Xoj it's sony we're talking about.
Anyway you can wear 3d glasses over normal glasses. They've thought of everything.

Surely 100hz and 120hz tv's will only need a quick firmware update to be able to recieve higher than 60hz signals. One would expect calculating moving objects and creating an extra frame is harder than just displaying the extra frame recieved.

I'm not buying a new tv any time soon.

Err... when is the last time you updated a TV firmware?

Listen to the ignorants going on about Sony pushing 3D and Sony will fail etc.

Every major electronics firm is pushing 3D. LG, Samsung, Sony and Panasonic will all have TV models released next year, all major BluRay manufacturers are announcing 3D firmware or stand alone packages next year.

But its all about the Sony bash isn't it guys?

ill buy a 3D tv if i was over 18 and had a job lol

It seems to be Sony fans who are bashing this which is sort of comforting as when the are bashing Natal it is because they hate new tech and not because its by MS /jk

But I am surprised at how many sony fans aren't for this.

Get your 3D TV's now...while they are hot! Any other TV out today that is not on this list will not support 3D Bluray. Im sure some on this list won't as well once sony starts with their proprietary bs... "Oh you bought Samsung glasses...no no no, you need the Sony glasses. $199 please"

Thus far Samsung and Mitsubishi have been kind enough to let us use the same plugs, parts and standards for their 3D TVs.

Bring it on!! I'm psyched for 3D to take off at home with movies and games. I'm saving up for a new 3D HDTV now. If OLED HDTV was in larger sizes and affordable though I would be faced with a tough choice.

3D OLED anyone?

Me.

As soon as OLED 3d TV's are cheap enough for me I'll get one.

Bought a 40" full HD tv about 3 years ago for a grand so need to get my moneys worth out of that first before upgrading.

Hopefully that'll be around the time OLED's are in my price range.

sooo, like another 10-15 years? :p

i dont wnat 3D gameing lol

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Awesome. Now do I get to drop $1500 more on a TV that actually supports 3D?
