hey hey, dont call forza3 damned, its very similar to GT5!

calling forza3 damned is like calling GT5 damned!

but i am asking myself, how can you call forza3 damned and on the same time defend the GT5 academy time-trial demo - while you are supposed to own both consoles? you seem very biased to me =/.

the reason we compare those 2 games is very simple. we like forza 3 and want GT5 to be even better!

for someone who owns both consoles (my ps3 may be broken, but i will get myself another tomorrow!! ;D) comparing forza 3 to GT5 is like comparing UC1 to UC2!

the reason why the demo looks so underwhelming is because the track is just a test-track, not a polished one. the final game will feature much better looking tracks. if you want to see the difference a good looking track makes, watch the GamesCon videos.

the demo is very misleading graphic-wise. i hope sony will release another demo next year!

How do you know? Why would they put out a poor looking track after working on the game for so many years? The game is out in 3 month's time in Japan.

So, having played the demo... why all the negative comments on the graphics? Other than the environment being pretty vacuous, the graphics look excellent. Mmm, 1080p graphics...

One thing I should add: this is by far the most comfortable I've ever felt playing a GT game with a dual shock. I do want to get a racing wheel for this game, however...

he's one of the nicest most unbias member in this site, he's almost toonice for my conern. He owns both consoles nd play them equally, he does have soft spot for the PS3, but he's honest with it.

Now, if you have a ps3 , go download the trial and post your score, if you don't , what the hell are doing in this thread?

I finally got into the 1:39.8xxx for the Tuned version. Time to focus and find those 2 secs im off for the top 10.

Ok the Demo has nothing to do graphically with the final product. Its just 200 Mb by purpose this demo is not even on par with Gt5 prologue. The demo lacks everything for example damages. This is just a contest Demo to heat up the audience.


I really hope that everybody who is now making fun of the graphics, wont forget what he was saying in six months when the game released or in 4 months when it released in Japan. The PS3 is able of better graphics then Xbox360 (until now) GT is the biggest and most important Sony project. I have a GT5 Demo Trailer (Full HD) which shows non replay scenes. The graphic is completly different a lot more effects a lot more details. This Demo has not even graphics which are as good as Gt5:Prologue. This Demo has outside of physics nothing to do with the final product. If you want to critisize please critisize the Physics because they wont change.

Is there someone in this forum that believes the Graphics from Gt Academy Demo are the Graphics of GT5 ?


To the game I noticed this box. With the 4 signs. It shows you when you use the handbrake but there are 3 other signs also for Gas for Oil and for ESP. But obviously these dont shine because this features are not implemented in this Demo. So do you think you have to fill up your Gas or Oil during a long race ? Maybe its gona be an advantage if you take a car which needs less Gas then a slightly quicker car ?
