With the launch of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan,Square Enix and PS3 are releasing 40k FF13 Lightning Edition Bundles for every million FF13 copies sold.This bundle is priced at 60,000¥($600).

Now this bundle is pushing PS3's but not that many.

Yes people who don't already have a PS3 and didn't get the Lightning edition will buy a normal PS3 to play FF13.

But if there were more of FF13 Lightning Edition PS3(mass quantity),even the existing PS3 owners who love FF13 would have bought another PS3 apart from the existing one.This way more PS3's would have been sold.

Apart from the mass production of FF13 bundles,if the bundle would have have been priced lower then it would have been a blast of PS3 sales.

I think the amount of shipments for FF XIII would be much higher, and it would still sell out.
None the less just remember what happened with FF XII it did not manage to sell more than FFX even though it had a larger install base and PS2 was cheaper, I think FF XIII will do really well in the end.

Who would want to pay for the production cost while selling at loss? Sony? SE? Or maybe MS? ;p

actually the megaman trailer was pretty good for a no-budget trailer lol, let me know if it ever makes it to the cinema (or even get's released somehow), i want to watch it

i don't think the lightning bundle production cost would be anywhere near ¥60,000($600).So if not $299,they could atleast price it at $400

i am not doubting FF13's sales.It will sell like hotcakes no matter what.

yeah the amounts of ps3 bundles that will sell will be more limited with their pricing, i wonder if they are making a profit from that bundle??
