Forums - Gaming - Best Final Battle In A JRPG

@lestatdark- im not compare'n here friend, i merely stating even SNES could have outputted better graphics for the final "FINAL" battle for VI, Star Fox for SNES did 3D, even if it looked fugly they could have done it with VI.

And for Bizarro Sephy and Safer Sephy, Bizarro was a monster so thats understandable for its size, while Safer was Near-Godlike Story wise, might as well say like kefka basiclly at the ending of VI, however the human-ish side of Safer sephiroth was almost the same size as the regular models of your party.

While Kefka was MUCH larger then all of the sprites you controlled in VI, terra, locke, etc... which made no sense.

For example, look at dissidia, hes able to reach his final form yet his the same size as a one-winged sephiroth. im just saying VI's kefka design was bias or not well designed at all, its just strange.

And true, it wasn't really a battle, but it still count as one since you have control over cloud regardless. so i stand by the fact that the final battle in VI could have been better for example making terra and her team near the same size pixely as kefka.

Anyways, lets stop now please before someone else decides to get frisky around here, i don't want Severance or godforbid Euphoria getting on my ass about this.

Edit: Damnit i keep on forgeting he changed his name, sorry man i'll try to remember it, lol.

StarFox had 3D because of the SuperFX chip that was on the cartridge.  If you put the SuperFX chip in FF6 the game would have cost well over $100. I remember paying close to $70 when FF6 came out.

FFVI came out before any SNES game had the capacity for true 3D graphics.  And before Star Fox.  It also came out before games such as Chrono Trigger, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Dragon Quest VI.  Which all had massive advancements in graphics for the SNES and used higher storage capacity carts for storing more graphics.

FFVI was really more of an evolved form of the same designs of the previous Final Fantasy games.  Just with better sprites and new environments.  Where as games like Chrono Trigger or Seiken Densetsu 3 were entirely new games created from the ground up with entirely new art assets.  Trying to fault FFVI for not having a 3D ending battle is like trying to fault FFIV for not having one.  Frankly, I can't think of any RPG on the SNES that had one.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Chrono Cross- you fight fate and a dragon formed from elemental dragons!!! and optional Lavos battle...

KH2 was hella epic tho.
and I agree FFXII was a good game, with the most anticlimactic ending boss battle. i wasnt scared or anything ha

This thread makes me want to make a best boss music thread.

I liked Grandia 2's final battle as well.
