With Iran looking more and more likely to be on the path towards obtaining nuclear bombs, how would or will the world change if they do obtain them? Will Israel attack Iran? Will the US guarantee Israeli security? Would an arms race be triggered in the area? 

Israel will finally own up they have nukes them selfs, maybe test one to show they got em and will use them if attracted.

Mad will ensure peace, more so then there is now.

@Hus. Israel practically has admitted they have nukes - they accidentally did it at some point last year I think. (Included themselves on a list of nuclear armed nations or something stupid like that).

Anyway - it will never reach that stage. Israel will take the risk of a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities before that occurs. I can't blame them really, the Iranian leadership has kinda vowed to wipe Israel off'f the map.

The US army will take them over like Iraq and Afghanastan. Then get nuked like in COD4

that might be harder them most think.

Irans military is not bad, their air defences are quality and air force ccould put up a fight if the purchese of Su30s is real.  

I would not mind iran having a civil war and end up imploding/destroying themselves.

I'd rather the United States didn't involve itself in 3 wars in the course of about a decade. That's a bit much, even for us.

I think the best thing to do is remind Iran where they stand. If Iran is lucky, they might get 1 or 2 nukes. The U.S. has over 2,500 active nukes. Iran knows this, and they also know attacking any NATO nation (well, probably even any nation at all) would be suicide. I'm not too worried. The Iranian government is radical at times, sure, but not stupid.

Saudi Arabia grants Israel flyover rights (if they have not already); Bibi sends F-18s to to bomb Natanz, Bushrer, etc. Iran hits Israel and Israel nukes Iran. Oil shoots up to over $100/barrel. Installation of pro-west democratic regime. The Iranian youth cannot stand the theocracy.

Also, the empowerment of S.A. as the preeminant M.E. power.

You have to look @ the Iraq-Iran-SA triangle of regional foreign policy.  With a weakened Iraq, Iran is strong, with a rogue Iran, SA is powerful.  Sunni vs Shi'ite plays a HUGE role here as well.

You can expect the fact that Iran has (or soon will) nukes to heat up the middle east. Expect Iran's big competitor, the Saudis to get nukes soon as well. To all of the people, especially the desis in here that support Iran getting nukes, I think that you should be more responsible wwith your opinions.

And nuclear proliferation and MAD is assured in the ME.
