Ok, I am installing an old printer onto my new laptop.
I tried installing the disc that came with the printer originally, but it doesn't work (I think) I inserted it, ran the disc (wouldn't run by itself for some reason), chose my language.... then it said I had to turn off any antivirus, however I can't figure out how to turn AVG off so I just continued..... Anyhow, I chose custom install as usual, and just clicked to install the drivers and the Epson status monitor, and clicked Install. But when it started trying to install stuff it says: "Program cannot be executed due to configuration settings"
Where can I find printer drivers for the Epson Stylus Photo R200 for Windows 7 (64bit)?
I searched for them on Epsons websites and found this:
http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-In-Ones/Inkjet/Epson-Stylus-Photo-R200/Drivers-Support;jsessionid=F06ED9BA105BA3E2D485C08A746625D3.acc1
Which is for some reason recognising my OS as Windows NT 4.0 (WTF?) but when I change it to Windows 7 x64 there are no drivers to download for it.
Just some Epson Print CD junk software.
I tried Epson.com and got this list:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?cookies=no&oid=29081&infoType=Downloads&com.broadvision.session.new=Yes
Which again doesn't seem to have any drivers for Windows 7 (only XP)
====
I could try other websites for drivers but I have never done it before myself, so I don't know where to trust.... or should I just connect the printer to my laptop and see what happens? (perhaps it will find the drivers automatically)
Never mind... I just plugged it in.... I was supposed to be taking screen-shots of me installing the printer etc, (coursework) but screw it.
