Forums - PC - Help me find printer drivers

Ok, I am installing an old printer onto my new laptop.
I tried installing the disc that came with the printer originally, but it doesn't work (I think) I inserted it, ran the disc (wouldn't run by itself for some reason), chose my language.... then it said I had to turn off any antivirus, however I can't figure out how to turn AVG off so I just continued..... Anyhow, I chose custom install as usual, and just clicked to install the drivers and the Epson status monitor, and clicked Install. But when it started trying to install stuff it says: "Program cannot be executed due to configuration settings"

Where can I find printer drivers for the Epson Stylus Photo R200 for Windows 7 (64bit)?

I searched for them on Epsons websites and found this:
http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-In-Ones/Inkjet/Epson-Stylus-Photo-R200/Drivers-Support;jsessionid=F06ED9BA105BA3E2D485C08A746625D3.acc1

Which is for some reason recognising my OS as Windows NT 4.0 (WTF?) but when I change it to Windows 7 x64 there are no drivers to download for it.
Just some Epson Print CD junk software.

I tried Epson.com and got this list:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?cookies=no&oid=29081&infoType=Downloads&com.broadvision.session.new=Yes

Which again doesn't seem to have any drivers for Windows 7 (only XP)

I could try other websites for drivers but I have never done it before myself, so I don't know where to trust.... or should I just connect the printer to my laptop and see what happens? (perhaps it will find the drivers automatically)

Never mind... I just plugged it in.... I was supposed to be taking screen-shots of me installing the printer etc, (coursework) but screw it.

Around the Network

If it's a really old printer, it's possible there aren't 64-bit drivers.

Well simply pluggin it in and letting Windows sort it out worked fine.... I just wanted to be able to take screenshots to show how to get them (like go to the Epson site etc, download, install etc)

I may have to use one of the printers at college if what I have isn't enough (they have PCs with deepfreeze so we can muck about uninstalling and reinstalling stuff like that without doing any damage)

I just figured as I hadn't yet installed my home printer I could use that instead, but the damn disc didn't work.

@jefforange.
Well it's not ancient, not entirely sure when we bought it but there were 64bit (for XP though) drivers on that second link I posted.
Still, no matter, it's working now.
