Wow you royally fucked up the OP didn't you!
Both songs suck, so I'll be supporting Mariah Carrey like I do every year.

buying shit music is never the right thing to do, and as such I refuse to buy either song, im happy to back any campaigns to get good songs to no.1 though.
| kowenicki said: @scifiboy Well luckily I like the Rage song anyway and even though I already own the album will buy the track again. I think you are missing the irony of the lyrics.... the "Fuck you I wont do what you tell me" mantra is a kick against this ridiculous situation we find outrselves in every year now where the number one is pre-ordained by Cowell (the man who knows zero about music) as the x factor winner, regardless of the singer and the song. |
I agree the X Factor is a farce that produces awful songs, but im not buying another song that I also think is shit just to stop them getting to no.1, like I said, campaign for a song I like and ill buy it straight away.
I don't agree with this campaign, though I will make an observation
On the plus side, this is the weakest "winners single" in a long time, and that's saying something.
On the downside ... more people watched this X Factor final than any other before ...
The Prodigy have given their backing to the campaign to get Rage Against The Machine's 'Killing In The Name' to Christmas number one. As some proceeds of the X Factor song are going to charity, those pledging their support to the RATM campaign can donate to Shelter - a charity helping the homeless - HERE. BUY IT!The Prodigy: 'We're Buying Rage Against The Machine And So Should You'
The Facebook group urging people to download the track next week to keep The X Factor off the top spot now has an astonishing 612,000 members.
Writing on The Prodigy's Facebook page this afternoon, band lynchpin Liam Howlett said:“Yo yo , we are behind and back getting rage ' killing in the name ' to number 1 this Christmas instead of some shite off of x-factor .... oh what fun that would be , ha ha ha .......we will all be buying it and you should too ..... master H”
As we reported earlier, bookmakers William Hill have slashed the odds of 'Killing In The Name' scoring the Chrimbo number one from 100/1 to 3/1.
