IF the PS3 is broken send it to these guys; http://www.gophermods.com/
They will fix it at a cheaper price than Sony, and they wont format your hard drive.
Hopefully its not the HDD, because if it is then you just lost all of your data.
If you send it out for repair, sell it once you get it back, but make sure you do the Data Transfer before you do and deactivate the system before you sell it.

not really.. 40GB models break as often as 60GB I guess.. mine broke twice (40GB) ina month time.. but both got repaired for free although I was out of warranty.. wich is awesome

oh yeah really? Make sure you have 6 inches of air flow all around it. It shouldnt break like that normally, or its really bad badluck.
my 60gb is still ok xD~ but reading on these forum.. feel like it might break any time... but I have a Lightning Edition PS3 with the FFXIII bundle coming, so it should be ok XD~~
I wish Sony offered a data backup/hosting service for your saves. They should totally do that for their "planned premium PSN service," because that is a service that'll be really nice since it makes your saves portable when you have net connection :) I'd pay for that ;x

no its just blinking & blinking i tried to plug off wires then reconnects same light blinks no yellow no green some one here in thread gives suggestion to vacum ps3 i l try that then i will see what will happen.

Dude... your PS3 is dead dude, ok.
Check out the links i gave you, and send your PS3 to http://www.gophermods.com/ if you want to keep the data on the HDD.
