If you thought that was bad, 4KIDS literally just butchered One piece trampling it's name to the depths of hell!

The editing was beyond normal, it has really engraved people minds that One piece is like that in it's entirety.

One of the most emotionally involved was non-existant within the 4KIDS dub.

Let me do a brief summary.

In the original Japanese adaption Bellemere was shot at point blank range infront of her 2 daughters, this was due to the not paying fee set by the villians and only having enough to pay for her daughters fee's.

In the 4 KIDS dub, Bellemere was taken somewhere (Presumbly a basement somewhere) to never be seen again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anothers involved the guns being edited looking like water pistols.

This was such a shame even though some voices were horrendous .e.g. Luffy, Sanji and Chopper

Some were fantastic especially Zoro's (Or Zolo if you watched the 4Kids dub) who's prior voiced Gatts/ Guts from Berserk.

I did prefer some of the voices that 4Kids used. I preferred Sanji's voice, since that sort of overwrought Brooklyn-esque accent seems to be well into his character. Robin's voice was also better there, the southern accent better reflected her Japanese voice, which was deeper and more sensuous than how it was portrayed by Funimation.

The other thing that 4Kids did better was in what happened to Kuina, Zoro's childhood companion. In the actual series, she dies in a random accident, tripping, falling, cracking her skull, and dying. In the 4Kids dub, she was seriously injured by older swordsmen who were jealous of her talent, a fate that has much more meaning and content.

Cutting the Little Garden arc completely made no sense at all, and totally butchered the story. Especially when they left in filler like the Rainbow Mist arc.

I absolutely disagree with everything stated here.

Those accents don't portray the character's well at all, (Square Enix is known for doing this as well -_-; ala DQ4, which was just incomprehensible because of cute "accents" that just HAD to be there). And Kuina wasn't killed by the swordsman in the dub, she got scarred apparently, not seriously injured and just decided she couldn't go on... or something. It really made no sense.

Around the Network

I loved Sanji's accent. Every anime should have at least one guy with a thick Brooklyn accent.

I couldn't even hear what he was saying half the time because he had such a terrible accent.

Wow, Yu Yu Hakusho had a excellent dub cast, just brilliant.

"Life is but a gentle death. Fate is but a sickness that results in extinction and in the midst of all the uncertainty, lies resolve."

We should just let Little Kuriboh dub everything.
