A. It'a cutscene, not a gameplay trailer. Bungie has said for a couple weeks that it was going to be part of the opening cinematic. I don't know why anyone was expecting gameplay.

B. The engine is ridiculously upgraded from the H3 engine. If you watch that trailer in HD, there are some absolutely great moments in terms of lighting and rendered detail - like when the warthog fishtails briefly as it heads into the distance. The actual warthog borders on practically photorealistic.

C. Faces are still an issue - but since everyone generally wears helmets, who cares? But the actual body animations are MUCH better. Watch the guys walk down the stairs as they leave the barracks. Watch how their bodies move. It's a far crty from the floaty/rag doll-ish animations of previous Halo games.

It's gorgeous. Now to the gameplay. Can NOT wait for the beta.

and this is opinion from a short trailer with no actual game play footage? you sure are a bright one.


first of all thank you for calling me bright you could have also added intelligent but i think you were so amazed by my brightness that you forgut to enter intelligent.

secondly if you watched the halo 3 trailer it was same as gameplay in terms of graphics cause its using the in game engine so why would halo reach be any different.

thirdly i think in my mind halo reach will have better graphics than uncharted even before the ingame scene.

fourth killzone 2 is graphically superior to uncharted 2.

where did KZ2 come from all of a sudden? your original post said it will beat UC2 and becomes the new graphics king then you say KZ2 is superior to UC2 in graphics, so which one is it atm? UC2 or KZ2? credibility getting shot much, mr. bright? the video shows no game play lighting effects yet, no physics from game play, no actual game play texture work or post processing work, and it's already the graphics king? brilliant.

Guys, calm down. Halo:Reach will not be the graphics king, that is almost certain. What it will be, is a gorgeous game with Bungie game play. Reach will be incredible.

I think Halo Reach looks nice so don't get me wrong, it's a major upgrade from Halo3 and that's clear as day, but we all need more facts before we can decide on the graphics king on console part, and I never felt that Halo was about graphics anyways, it's all about the MP imo.

as long as they have something like the gravity hammer from Halo 3 then it will be pretty good fun, at least that's the most fun I had in 3 when I still had my 360.

i love the spartan laser my favourite weapon and the sword.

What it will be is game of the year ;)

For me and many others anyhow.

I had to make a Reach Sig. I used the HD footage.

Isn't the gravity hammer a Brute weapon? If so, I doubt it'll be in it, since there will probably be no brutes in this game. It's focused on Elites.
