Well... Valkyria was popular enough to spawn a Anime and a Sequel, in Japan... Where Lost Odyssey didn't do very well at all.

Also, word of mouth has propelled its sales a LOT.

Lost Odyssey is good, yes... But is it as good as Valkyria? I really, really dont think so.

I might make a thread on it...

Well first of Valkyria is a SRPG.

SRPGs should not be grouped in with JRPGs...

Unless your definition of JRPG is "RPG from Japan."

Which is a stupid definition.

SRPGs are different from Western and Japanese RPGs.

Western SRPGs actually tend to play just like Japanese SRPGS.

Not at all.  But Uncharted was nowhere near as good as PS3 owners wanted everyone to believe it was (U2 is, however).  The same goes for Lost Odyssey.  It's a good game, but there are some VERY glaring shortcomings.  Neither game is god's gift to gaming.  They are both very derivitive and excel only in presentation. 

Playstation fans like RPG's so we 360 owners got together and decided to make PS3 owners jealous by pretending that Lost Odyssey was the greatest RPG ever.  Playstation owners know that 360 guys pride themselves on having awesome shooters, so we PS3 owners got together and decided that we'd pretend that Uncharted was the best game ever.  C'mon man!  You were at the meeting!!!

But in all honesty, I do prefer VC to LO, and Uncharted 2 > Gears 1 > Gears 2 > Uncharted: Drake's Fortune imo.

Had a feeling it was heavily overtracked. Selling 40k+ a long time after release is a bit much, good word of mouth or not. It isn't the most mainstream game...

ToV and ToS: DotNW are tied with it at 130k in US btw.

I wish we had another console RPG leak, I'd like to see where Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Last Remnant and Star Ocean are all at.  Fire Emblem Wii's at 170k btw.
