The game is a new IP but despite that it is showing some impressive preorder numbers, and the hype for it is building as the days go by. Having played the beta and being impressed by it, I think the game will have a very good first week, with about 700K copies sold, and possible LTD sales over 2 million! I really enjoy the beta. I think this game will have 500k to 750k first week. If the network is good (no or very little lag) it will probably have good legs as word of mouth travels.

It will have a 350 - 600 K opening. It'll finish with 1.5 - 2.5 Million Ltd.

I'd say it's gonna have 500k first week, it's a solid online FPS-Game with good support from the devs and most beta testers seemed to enjoy it. (me included)

The game will easily have week one sales of over 600k. And were looking at about 3 million LT.

I hope Sony puts some extra servers for the Launch of the game, so that server doesnt go down, as its a online only game, i think there is no reason that Sony should not take the server issue very very very seriously... If all goes well n good on launch, than i m sure the game is going to get very good word of mouth but otherwise it can flop very badly.

The beta has me interested in the finished product.

However, I hope that balancing issues have been taken care of (in the last phase, it felt like the 64 player mode was the only way to win a battle), there are some better graphics and effects, and most of all I hope the animations aren't as stiff.

It's online only. Probably won't pass SOCOM's sales.

Dude i preordered to get the beta and it looked like crap. It was mildly fun at times but I decided that I wont pick it up because I will get BFBC2 instead. I know my friends said that they wont pick it up either and will use the $5 preorder for BFBC2 also..... Pre order numbers are tricky for this game because not everyone will complete the transaction.
