PS3 really brought it this year.

Xbox - 279 titles - 35% green = 98 titles rated 76+
PS3 - 228 titles - 43% green = 98 titles rated 76+

Not that I care about metacritic. I'd rather play Ninja Blade again than Half of those 90+ games for the first time.

just wanted to point out that Batman AA also got 1 pt less on the ps3 version than on 360 version

Wii won where it actually matters for Nintendo. They didn't win where it matters for me. Don't get me wrong, Wii had a stellar line up this year. But if sales is the only thing that matters to you, and you don't work for Nintendo, then something is up.

Both have great games...and Metacritic scores mean absolutley nothing to anyone. Why do you guys even care this much?

That's untrue. There are several members on this very site (I believe Carl is one of them, but he can correct me on this if he wants) who take Metacritic as being an absolute indicator of the quality of a library, and justification for the statement that the PS3 has the best games.

Though I'd also like to point out that according to this, the PSP beat out the DS
