Yep. That's pulled exactly from the start date of Nov 1, to end date of Nov 28.

I just looked up October NPD and you are right. PS3 US NPD was 320k, VGC Americas PS3 was only about 370k and 360 US NPD was 250k while VGC Americas 360 was 320k. So I guess that month 360 may have been spot on or a little overtracked and the PS3 understacked a bit?

I think this again shows that NPD has done a great job of convincing everyone of its "invulnerability" when it fact it is an estimation service -- just like VGC.

Admittedly, NPD has a large base of data. But it also does not receive Wal-Mart and ToysRUs information. That alone could cause errors, depending upon how the model accounts for this missing information. For example, if you use last generation, Sony could be overestimated. If you use sales of other stores, Nintendo could be underestimated (check out the Wii display vs. the others at Toys R Us).

I think you would make a pretty good mod, prof. You seem to be alert for foolishness and clamp down with the quickness when you recognize it.

Seriously. Personal preference does not = blind bias. In fact, he once owned a PS3 as well, so he has every right for an opinion. When he debates, he's a pretty reasonable guy, and uses common sense, even if I don't agree with everything he says.
