i remember playing halo 3 right end great ending to great game.however for  days i thought the chief was dead  that made me very upest (in a gaming sense). then i read something that said watch after the credit then i found that he was not dead.it made my day

I pretty much always let the credits roll out, especially for 'epic' games.. i still think the chief dying would have been a better ending, storywise.. but i guess they have to leave it open to some possibility for a sequel

Meh, I knew they did different endings for different difficulty levels so I just watched the ending on you Tube after I beat it on normal. By the time I was done with the lackluster last level I really didn't care.

I think the ending was interesting because it leads me to believe that Master Chief is actually the cyborg from Marathon, which takes place 250 years later.
