I created this thread to bring upon the hype of the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV thread. Since the game is split between the PS3 and PC version, this discussion may have to stay in the Gaming Discussion since it covers two consoles.
So far the website has recently updated (about a month or two ago) with the Gladiator (Warrior/Dark Knight/Paladin/Samurai) job and the Pugilist (Monk). And for these two jobs that are shown (unlike the other physical jobs and ranged weapons; sorry, the magic profession isn't updated as of yet and there's no information on what it can do; it's said to have the abilities of White, Black, Red, and Blue Magic from rumors), the weapons are shown for the Pugilists and Gladiators. The Archer (Rangers) and Lancer (Dragoon) are there with their info, but not any weapon data. The Marauder (Thief/Ninja/Corsair) isn't shown yet either with no character data and weapon data. As mentioned about the magic profession, the Thaumaturge (White Mage/Black Mage/Red Mage/Blue Mage) isn't there either. The reason why I'm adding the similarities that this game has from Final Fantasy XI is that it's the next-gen version, Square-Enix would like players from that game to eventually migrate to FFXIV, and Square-Enix has said that these Disciplines in FFXIV will have specifications that the jobs of Final Fantasy XI has.
With weapons, though, it's also said that by using the weapons constantly, they will wear down within time and usage. So, that means you may have to fix/forge them, or get a new weapon.
