Forums - Sony - Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time Discussion

I guess Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time really is a love or hate game.

@ Arcance_Chaos

My Top 5 JRPG's for the PS2 are the following:

1.) Final Fantasy X
2.) Grandia 2 (the PS2 port of course)
3.) Disgaea 1
4.) Tales of the Abyss
5.) Digital Devil Saga series/Kingdom Hearts series

Around the Network

I loved this game, amazing, easily one of the best Action RPGs I've ever played (either this or KH2). Loved the story to death, and I'll stalwartly defend it against any hater, found it completely brilliant, loved the twists.

Battle system is great too, normal battles are simple and quick, but bosses are immersive. Also, I love to get the stats to crazy amounts, I like having 15K HP.

And the JP voices are simply perfect, playing this game undubbed was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

In all, an excellent game, 9.5

Star Ocean :Till the end of Time was my first SO RPG ever, and its my fave, SO2 on PSP was fun and SO4 on Xbox 360 was Great, but SO3 Takes the cake overall since it was my first, its one of my fave games on PS2 overall.

Well, to me, Till the End of Time is the best game in the series, by far.

It has the best story, the best battle system, and has a massive amount of content to keep any RPG love content for a long, long time.
Haven't seen much hate for it in here though, so I would like to see people's complaints about it as well.

Yes it does have a ton of content. I like the fighting game that is tucked away deep in the game.

The battle Arena was pretty sweet, and it took me a hell of a long time to actually get the S ranking on both Solo and Team battles.

But to me, the most important single aspect of the game was Item Crafting...I lost count on how many hours I spent on it xD

I still haven't gotten that item crafting thing down and I've spent over 200 hours in the game.
