Wow... this is... really stupid.

First of all, you can't say "Chrono Trigger" or "Final Fantasy Anthology" because those were goddamn ports. And they were BAD ports. They were laggy, they froze, etc. So what if you can play those games on the PSX? NEWSFLASH, YOU CAN PLAY THEM ON A PS2 AS WELL. They aren't PSX games, they don't count.

Secondly, Xenogears? FF8? Seriously? Some of the games you guys are listing were absolutely terrible, and many others aren't even worth remembering.

But to answer the question, both eras produced a lot of bad RPGs, and a handful of good ones. I consider at least one on each system to be indispensable. But neither system produced my favourite.

Words cannot discribe how hard you post fails. Xenogears is the greatest jrpg of all time. You pretty much just called god's work "terrible". You must repent.........NOW.

* eye roll* nice 1st post...so your saying because Chronicles and Antalogy were released b4 there not PSX games? so How do you classify port versions Okami(WII), RE4(PS2), MGS2(XBOX) which were all ports???

PS1 because it has Persona 2, Vagrant Story and FFIX.

No, wait. I changed my mind. The PS2 - SMT: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Xenosaga trilogy, P3:FES and Final Fantasy XII. Pretty sure I'm missing something else.

There are simply too many JRPgs on the Ps1 to make a list, and people seem to have a good handle on it.

Ps1 was way more experimental than the Ps2. There are also more SRPGs.

Also, Vanguard Bandits! Oh yeah... I bet no one saw that coming... oh fuck someone already mentioned it. And I thought I was the only one who knew that one. That is one of the most obscure ones I know.

Wait I gotta come up with a more obscure one... Fuck someone already mentioned Azure Dreams too! Wait... let me see... someone else in the world has played Threads of Fate?! Oh fuck, I give up. You guys win!

Before I leave I'll just mention a obscure beat em up game no one here knows about so I can feel better about myself: Panzer Bandit!

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!
