Forums - Sony - Idea: PSN.PC

They might as well release this on PSN Store as well.

And isn't this basically what PSP Minis is?

yeah, but it's on a PC platform like steam.

PSP minis are the games that would be on the PC.

PSP Minis are already going to be playable on the ps3, why not just put them on computer as well, and on top of that, get some of armor games stuff and whatnot,

This would be a good idea but i wonder if it would take off.

Oh, it would definitely take off.
I think one of the primary reasons Nintendo went with this kind of strategy this gen was because of the headlines we were seeing 5-6 years ago.
Highest selling games were all 5$ PC puzzle games and little time-wasters. Nintendo helped to bring that kind of demographic back to the consoles and Sony should get a cut of the action as well.

While there is speculation that PC gaming is dying, it's easy to argue when you see that there are 40 something million people playing farmville on PC.
If Sony can do this right, they can automatically take a huge piece of that cash cow.

That would be interesting.

Playstation gaming on the PC.

But I personally think that it should be Vaio exclusive. It'll help increase sales for that brand and since the Playstation business and Vaio are under the same banner now it would be easy.

nice idea :D

That's true, but I think they would make more if it were available on all computers.

Perhaps on Vaio, it could come with 5-10 games already installed. And every other PC would just have access to demos or purchase games.

I understand what you're saying, but how about Vaio's and Mac's get it first. The rest of the PC realm would have to wait a year or so. Sony and Apple could start really doing damage on their common foe.

haha yeah I guess so..

but I wonder.... if there is another solution....some way to both undermine MS PCs and draw more attention to the ps3, while releasing on all PCs

I would like to see Sony create their own operating system. They've been working with Linux for the past 10 years. They should have some idea as to how to make one.

Think about an always on PlayStation Network service that connects all Sony devices.

Move a Video Conference from the PS3 to your PSP while you're getting in a car or about to get on a flight. If you're in in you're car (or limo cause you must be important) you can switch to an even smaller Sony Ericsson phone. All seamless.

I've got countless of ideas for the Playstation business, but they never respond to my emails or messages.

It's possible. They could probably do something with Apple. Apple has dual boot capabilities which would give a "Sony Home System" the power and resources it needs to run all of those things.
