Back from an inFAMOUS gaming session - I admit it, opinion changed. The game is truly fun, especially once the open ended sandbox comes in. I am also enjoying the sewer platforming part - great lighting effects there. The story is good, save games work and the cutscenes are enjoyable!

The visuals are somewhat average in some parts, but then truly amazing in others.

At this point inFAMOUS > GTA IV
(but less good than MGS4 :))

Yeah, it's just an absolutely smooth game. I just wish that there were infinite side missions, or something continuous after you do all the side missions. It's not fun taking on small groups of enemies. It's only fun fighting against the odds, since that's when everything comes together. Taking cover, but also moving, grinding, and jumping around to avoid rockets, grenades, and flankings. It's really strategic when that happens, because you're trying to consider where to move if you might need a charge of electricity. But you also want to be in a higher ground to get a vantage point.

I wish that there'll be a more active gang/turf war. Maybe even put the government in the mix. And after you wipe them all out, after a good 10-30 minutes, they'll come again, with a huge horde at a small point, and they just expand.

Can't wait for inFamous 2. I hope they do have a new power and character though. They squeezed enough out of electricity.
