Forums - Gaming - A couple of inFAMOUS questions

I just popped inFAMOUS in the tray but can't play until tomorrow. In the meantime I would like to know:

1. Is there really no way to skip the cutscenes?

2. What does the 'Save game' feature save?

3. Is the game saved automatically at different checkpoints? Will it save after collecting shards, etc.?

So far (after 20 minutes into the game) I must say that I was somewhat dissapointed. Though to be fair, it is the first game going into the system after MGS4. Damn, why did that game ever end?!

Why would you skip the cutscenes in your first playthrough? O.o They're not even that long.

Save game, saves your game...

The game features autosave. I'm not sure when, but it's reliable from my experience.

Come on, give in to temptation and play it now!!!

Be truly... inFAMOUS >:)

Also, could you tell us why you were disappointed with the game? I personally thought it was really good, but had a few flaws.

I'm asking the save game question because I tried to save the game but on loading I went back to where I had started the mission. Which is why I wanted to skip the cutscenes.

Edit: As I said, so far I haven't given the game a fair shake. At the same time, the visuals were not as amazing, and I do not like the movements/animations of Cole (especially in the initial limping part!).  As I said, it might be a bit unfair because I am having MGS withdrawal symptoms :(

Thanks - looking to spend more time on the game :)

Any ideas as to what could have happened with the save? Shouldn't it take me back to the spot in which I was at the time?

Every time you load up the game you'll start from a bed (the couch, or a hospital bed, whichever is closer to the last save).

While the animations aren't realistic, I think it's appropriate considering the unrealistic things Cole does. I'll rather have smoother animations and gameplay than realistic animation. With all the jumping, dodging, running, flying, etc going on, it'll all be a blur anyway.

I see - I am assuming that completed objectives are maintained though.

With regards to the cutscenes - no way to skip?

Also did anyone else feel guilty playing evil in the first run through? I mean, I really felt bad about shocking the people trying to get to the food :) Damn the conscience!
