Over Thanksgiving Break, I took my family to a Great Wolf Lodge. While there, my son continued his MagiQuest game.
For those who have not heard of it, MQ is essentially a live RPG. You do fetch quests for earn amulets necessary to fight boss battles. You are ranked based on amulets won, gold earned, and points. The game costs $10 to play (for four days). You also have to buy a wand ($15 and up) -- which can be reused and your stats saved. A guide book is $1.
This got me to thinking what console RPGs might make a good live experience. Given the age range, it would probably have to be something simple, like FF Mystic Quest or Quest 64. What does everyone else think?

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
