the future of tv distribution?

seems like most stuff is online now, BBCiPlayer, 4oD, ITVPlayer, SkyPlayer, et al

anyone else reckon this could be the future of tv?

YouTube now has shows on it too, anime and stuff as well as just TV shows, so I think this is really cool and makes life soo much easier than tv, you can choose when you watch and pause it and stuff, some of them have adverts, but alot less than TV does.

It may or may not be. They will certainly co-exist for a very long time however.

The advertising revenue from television wont be given up by the networks without a fight.

I think internet tv is the future because its easy to use and more convinient.

I see regular tv going the way of newspapers. A very very slow death.
Newspapers have a lot more history and tradition but on the other hand what they do is a lot easier integrated whereas high speed flat rate internet still has a long way to go, even in well developed countries.

It's not likely that anything even resembling the current model of internet TV is the future. The revenue studios are getting from their websites are a mere fraction of the ad revenue they get from actual television. There's a far better chance that OnDemand channels with a much bigger emphasis on airing commercials are actually the future.

I have internet T.V. it's called the ps3!!!!!! lol!!!!!!

This won't happen until everyone can get cheap high speed internet. In most places, its not even available. Even then, I'm not sure it would catch on.
