^I don't think they'll push out their next system in 2011, unless MS and Sony are also launching in holiday 2011, it would be a bad idea, for one reason, any new idea they incorporated at launch, would be stolen for the PS4 and 720 launches

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Wii: I see a Q3 2010 price drop for Wii in the land of the rising sun, and a Q2/Q3 price drop for Wii in 2011 for other territories. Earlier in Japan due to lack of interest, although it's still quite possible for a global pricecut in 2011 instead.

PS3: Sony will drop the price of the PS3 in 2011. Now that they've sold a bunch of systems and have a mass market price point, they'll be able to ride that momentum for quite a while. A $50 price drop for the 360 will hardly even make a scratch on PS3 sales.

If Microsoft drops the Elite down to $200 and the Arcade to $150, it's entirely possible Sony will drop the price too, but definitely not immediately...

360: Uh, 2010 price drop for sure, Q2 or Q3 depending on the legs of the Slim. Probably a $50 drop.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

Wii: Fall 2011, Wii HD? $150
PS3: Fall 2011 with actual "PS3 Slim" as called by Sony introduced. $200 250 GB / $250 500 GB
Xbox 360: Spring 2010 with regular 250 GB "ultimate" introduced. - $150 0GB/$250 120GB/$350 250GB. In 2011 - similar "reshuffle" with Elite phased out.

Microsoft is determined to beat Sony by at least 1 unit this gen, so I think they will do everything possible.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

I don't see any price cuts anytime soon. Sony won't be able to afford it for awhile (maybe a $50 cut at the end of the year to counteract Natal, but that's about it), Nintendo probably won't need it, and Microsoft will bundle Natal with every 360, in an attempt to relaunch the system. Adding Natal to each SKU will be their price cut.

Xbox 360 will be the first to get a price cut.
If Sony's momentum stay in their favour microsoft will have to do something about it.

Depends. If we see price cuts in 2010 for all 3 of them then I'd say we'll also see the 8th generation start in 2011. If the big 3 want to maintain the integrity of this generation, however, I doubt any of them will drop price in 2010.

I don't think the xbox 360 can get any cheaper. They might just have to start selling 6 packs for 300$ each.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... microsoft price cut is unlickely since they are integrating natal with xbox 360 so cutting the price would probably make them sell at a loss. ms is making profit right now so i think they want to keep making as much profit as possible as the line up next year should help it have sales boost.

Edit: bundled is waht i mean with integrated
