- Capcom announced the next-gen action game Devil May Cry 4 will be released in Japan on January 31, 2008.
- Bloomberg reported that Nintendo has overtaken Sony as the world's largest game manufacturer. In the past 3 months Nintendo has 31% more game sales for Wii and NDS than previous year, with a total of $1.2 billion in sales, comparing to $1 billion for the PlayStation platforms; and $271.9 million for Microsoft's Xbox platform.

- The next CES Fair will have 65% more computer and video games than 2007. The 2008 International CES tradeshow will take place in Las Vegas between Jan 7 - 10, 2008.

- Konami announced the release date of the PS3 espionage action game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be pushed back from early 2008 to Q2 2008, the reason is to improve the quality.
- Sony announced the PlayStation 3 with Folding@Home has won the Guinness World Records as the world's most powerful network in Distributed Computing. Currently the project has over 670,000 PS3 users.
- Sony has indefinitely postpone the release of Sing Star for PS3 in US, due to licensing problems. The game will be released in Europe on December 12, 2007.
- Naughty Dog VP Evan Wells mentioned that the company is interested to work on a new Jak & Daxter title for PS3.
- Naughty Dog announced a playable demo of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune will be available on November 8, 2007, the game will be released in US on November 20, 2007.

- Nintendo announced the new Wii Gift Channel will be available in December 2007, which allows users to buy Virtual Console games as gifts for their friends.
- Capcom announced the worldwide shipment of Biohazard 4 Wii Edition [Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition] have passed 1 million copies.
- Nintendo announced over 1 million units of Wii have been sold in UK, which sold 25% faster than PS2 and 35% faster than Xbox 360.
- Nintendo president Satoru Iwata mentioned that Wii Fit for Wii is what Brain Training is for NDS, the company expects high sales volume for this title.

- Microsoft announced a Lost Odyssey bundle will be released in Japan on December 6, which includes Lost Odyssey, Forza Motorspot 2, Viva Pinata and a Xbox 360 with 20GB Hard Drive, for 39800 yen (US$347).

- Capcom announced the PSP action game Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G will be released in March 2008, there will be a PSP Bundle with the game at the same time.
- Sony has released the new PSP firmware 3.72, which improves functions with PlayStation Network and updated the 1seg channel list for digital TV.
