Hey you never know, one of you might know a solution, so here it is.
My laptop is a Toshiba X205-SLi5 and I use it to play mostly but it's powered on during long streches as my GF uses it to work (when i'm at work).
The other night (1AM), I started playing MW2, the comp had been off for the past few hours. After 1 hour, the comp just turned off as if a light switch had been flicked (no warning or sleep mode that it usually does when on low battery). So I checked the lights on the comp and the AC light as well as battery light were on (which is normally the case when the comp is plugged but turned off).
I restart the comp, no problems... I play L4D this time (first time I played it after last week's deal)... I got 45 mins of playtime then the same shutdown, instantly and without warning.
I check the lights again and this time nothing is on.... unplug the power cord, replug it.. nothing. The comp isn't even particularly hot (and the house is cold like 15C), and there was no burning smell.
Next day the comp still won't start.
I tried various manipulations to start it: without power cord, witout battery, pressing power button for 30 sec.... these didn't work.
I also tried to take out the ram as I read on the net it could be faulty ram... as expected it didn't do noting.
Yeah I should have let it rest after the first time, but i'm more used to desktops and having micro power cuts so it didn't feel too wierd to me just there...I ordered a HDD dock to get my data at least (well more my GF's work data), so it's really mainly an issue of getting the comp back to run...
So... turns off without warning, no lights, can't power on, doesn't seem alive even a tiny bit...
Any suggestions as to what to do?
