The arguments over this is meaningless as we are comparing successful franchises to a new game that might be better. I am getting GOW3 no matter what because I am always blown away by the series, and If Bayonetta is any better, I'll get that too. Both games are coming to my console after all.

Curious why this is a big deal, since they have God of War III, which is an exclusive.  Any other inferior multiport games they will be intervening for?

Ok, THAT explains the buzz going into the game.  I was wondering why there was hype behind this.  Hopefully it does pan out well.  But, I AM finding it odd that this game around here is stealing the thunder from God of War III.

(IMO) I do not even consider the God of War series better than the NG series nor the DMC series.

So for me....Bayonetta > God of War 3 easily!

Love the hypocrisy - you yourself are trying to marginalise the value of the demo, which is a reasonable, if imperfect, representation of what Bayonetta will actually play like on release.

GOW will please the fanbase, but for somebody like me that has played a bit of GOW and a bit of DMC and is not really biased in favor of one over the other, Bayonetta just appeals drastically more.

Having played the demos, GOW 3 plays almost exactly like 2 but prettier. Not that that is a bad thing, they were great games. Like I said, it definitely will please the fanbase. But just like GOW was an evolution of games like DMC, Bayonetta is the next evolution and GOW is just window dressing an old favorite. Doesn't hurt that Bayonetta has insane amounts of style and charisma as a game either. I mean the music, the art design, the animation, the over the top attacks, they are all insane and top notch.

GOW3 will be a fan favorite, but bayonetta will be used as the future blue print of action beat 'em ups. Just like DMC was the blue print, and GOW innovated on it in the last generation, bayonetta is building on the shoulders of all the previous greats. I am getting it day 1.

The funny thing the worst demos i have played have produced some great games.

Uncharted demo was a mess, Resistance demo was just beyond bad, Killzone 2 demo actually cost them sales.

That's my problem with GOW 3, I am tired of the formula and it seems to be more of the same with improved graphics but Bayonetta will give me a new experience. GOW 3 will be an incredible game but it's not for me.

Played the demos of this and GoW III and thought the latter beat it hands down, and I don't go for gore in games.

Bayonetta just felt loose, scripted, and that slo mo dodge seems abusable and over powered.
