Fact: empirically true and can be supported by evidence.

Opinion: (1) a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty. (2) a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.

What is the difference between fact and opinion?

The difference between fact and opinion is that a fact is something that is empirically true and can be supported by evidence while an opinion is a belief that may or may not be backed up with some type of evidence. An opinion is normally a subjective statement that can be the result of an emotion or an individual interpretation of a fact. For example, biological differences between males and females are a fact while a preference for one gender over the other is opinion.

for those that needed a refresher...

Honestly, I don't like much of anything before the year i was born (1990). I like music. I like Britney Spears, 3oh3, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Alanis Morisette, Lady Gaga, Kidd Rock, Aerosmith.

I don't give a flying fuck what any of them has/hasn't done for music. I just need something to sing to while gaming/cleaning/working/whatever.

I'm not gonna argue who has more talent, but I like Pink more.

Pink. I think that she is hot, also somewhat jealous of her tard husband. lol

Ah-ha, so you are a fan of her musical ability then.

...

Pink Floyd wipe the floor with most bands to be honest. I think if I asked Pink who she thought was better, her or Pink Floyd, I think she would actually agree that Pink Floyd are miles better.

Yeah, but what about my proposed discussion.. Queen versus Pink Floyd? I honestly cannot choose.

Hmm? I will say this, Queen's songs are better than Pink Floyd's, but Pink Floyd's albums are better than Queen's.

It's a draw.

I agree with this.

Pink Floyd every single time. Their lyrics are incredible. You haven't lived until you've made love to comfortably numb (though I admit I like the Van Morrison cover better). Wish You Were Here, Time, Money, Dark Side of the Moon, Bike (incredible) I love them so much.

Comfortably numb is one of my favourites, I like the others too except for Bike... it's just too odd.

I can excuse Arnold Layne, Bike, The Gnome, See Emily Play etc. etc. etc. because it was somewhat of a different band with Syd Barrett doing vocals.. and we know he had drug and emotional problems. The band didn't really take off until Meddle came out IMO.

"Welcome, my son
Welcome to the machine"

More power in two lines (particularly in context of that album) than some bands have in their entire careers. Chills me to the bone.

I once had a discussion with a friend of mine where he proposed that Pink Floyd was pretty much the only band in history who exclusively released albums as opposed to collections of songs. I don't know that I agreed with him at the time - I don't think I do now either, especially not after becoming more familiar with Bob Dylan's work - but I can't argue against the idea that they took the idea of the album as far as logically possible.

Yeah, See Emily Play is another I am not keen on.... not sure I have heard The Gnome.

Pink? Janis Jopling? Pink Floyd?

How the hell does Pink even get mentioned in the same post as the other two??? Taylor Swift on the other hand...that chick is something special. Still nothing compared to Pink Floyd, but wayyy better than Pink.

In all honesty, there is talent to what Pink Floyd does. Pink is an auto-tuned bitch who can't seem to sing enough about how bad her dad treated her. They are on two completely different planes of existance. Even Queen doesn't compare to Pink Floyd IMO.

Listen to Darkside, Echoes, The Wall, and ANIMALS, ONLY then will you be able to make a proper comparison. The thread would be a lot better if it was Pink Floyd vs. The Beetles.

You guys are nuts!
What possessed you to compare Pink to Pink Floyd???
The name or the music???
