Final Fantasy X's storyline was indeed amazing. So was it's gameplay, music and atmosphere.

Gotta agree with that.

I respectfully disagree with VIII having a so-so story. For me, it was one of the highlights like I said.

If I were to put them in order, I'd probably say:

1. VII.

2. XII

3. XIII.

4. X

5. VI.

6. VIII

For a series like Final Fantasy, being 6th place for story is damn good.

Vaan really screwed up the story for me on XII, otherwise I probably would rank it first. He was unlikable for me. My rankings (story+gameplay): X, XII, VII, VI, VIII, IX. We will see where XIII ranks, even if the story is top not I still need to see how good the gameplay goes.

According to someone I have talked to on here, FFXIII's story is suppose to be really great as well as the gameplay if you don't mind it being linear which you don't since X is ranked at the top for you.

Yeah. Alot of people I've talked to has said that if you love FFX, then you will most definitely love FFXIII.

To me, the story seems like it was deffinitley inspired by X. If you liked X, then you will probably fall in love with XIII. I haven't even played it yet and I'm in love with the plot and its characters.

I thought that hype for this game for me could never go higher... but apparently, it sure as hell can. If it's FFX inspired.. then.. oh sweet Jesus. Game of the Generation confirmed. Again. Maybe it can knock FFX from my top FF spot, too... but we shall see 'bout that.

I pretty much hit maximum hype a week ago and am literally counting minutes till the release. At first I was pissed that someone had spoiled it for me. But oddly enough, knowing what's going to happen has just made me want to play the game a billion times more. People who have played through the game say it's on par with the best. Also, fom what I've read, there are hours upon hours of things to do if you are the type of person who likes sidequests. Just what you would expect from Final Fantasy.

QFT. The story was spoiled for me but I still want to play it when it comes out.
