Kind of funny they translated tomadachi to friend...people will be like...What friend collection? and others will be like 'Wow didn't knew friends was popular in Japan.

but, uhm "tomodachi" does infact mean "friend" as far as I know?

Yeah I know.   That is what I meant.  Everyone knows what tomodachi (collection) is but don't know what tomodachi is in English. Could confuse some people.

But it's not a problem of the series, it's a problem of the Wii userbase. Almost every sequel has always sold worse than the original game on the Wii. There's a problem there.

Outside Nintendo, it's the same for DS.  Naruto also heavily declined there, as have other series (FF, Tamgotchi, Sonic, Rockman, etc).

@jarrod: And what about the rest of the series I've named?

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Pretty much all those declined on DS as well (Dragon Ball, Bleach, Gundam, Harvest Moon, etc).  Also, Pro Baseball Spirits isn't on Wii, it's on PS2/PS3.

Wow Crystal Bearers bombed pretty badly, i just dont get why especially when the GC one sold pretty well.

That's right, I confused it with the other Yakyu games. Powerful Pro Baseball I think, which btw sold less with each iteration. Same with Winning Eleven, but that's because of the crappy release schedule Konami has.

We are talking Japan, RE:DSC hasn't been launched there. Sales in the West are not an indication.

Power Pro's never going to break away on Wii so long as it's sold alongside a PS2 SKU.  Look at how Momotaru Wii did this year with no PS2 version, it went from 8k 1st week to 44k.

Konami should do a "special" Motion+ Power Pro Wii in the spring or something to really test series potential.

I agree, ToG will do better. I would like to see how SMG2 does for example.

Graces better do better, it's a full fledged Tales from Team Destiny, not a budget spinoff Tales from Team Interns. If it doesn't crack 300k, that's a BAD sign...

I'd expect Galaxy 2 to undersell Galaxy 1.  On the other hand, I think the new Zelda could outsell Twilight Princess.  And Other M will definitely outsell Retroid 3.
