I agree with what you said on the PS3 but not on the PSP heres why:

PSP is really succesfull (55 M sold), not selling as much as the top competitor doesnt mean you dont have success. Its the DS that has more success then a handheld would normally has after all those years on the market. This gen Nintendo is showing us that the best way to sell consoles is to find a thing that appeal to casual gamers and kids (motion control, touch screen, price). Im not saying there is no hardcore games on DS or Wii but the reason it sells more than the others is because of a much larger audience. I really hope that Sony and Microsoft doesnt go that way to increase sales. Or at least if they go that way I hope they still release as much hardcore title. DS is a good example of having a large audience but also satisfying hardcore needs while Wii no comments...

Well don't misrepresent my argument.  I'm not stating that PSP is unsuccessful but that they have failed to continue competing with the DS.  Remember I could only make that argument if I thought that PSP was still in a compeititve situation which given 55 million sold it definitely was (but obviously not anymore).

But they cannot competition with it, because of the hardware. Even if they sell PSP at 100$ it is not aiming for the same market. They would sell more but never like the DS is selling. Casual gamer and kids loves the touch screen, and theres a lot more casual gamer then hardcore gamer.

Well if they realize they can't compete then that leaves them two options.  Either stop making systems in the market or try to retake it.  PSP Go was not attempt to do that so that is what I'm asking... why release the PSP Go then.  Why not just let PSP 3000 stay in there or do that and release a PSP2 next year (or that year).  It's just hard to understand their thinking in all of this.

Ok I see your point, I think they are going to release PSP2 anyway. PSPGo was prolly a way to test DD only at the same time make money. But this is really opinion as im not sure that this is what they wanted.

Around the Network

I saw ads for the PSP Go, but still didn't care for it.

The commercial did not state any of its features, the actual price, or mention more than a few games, which originally come from the PS3 (LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo).

There is no enticing exclusive the PSP has. No Pokemon, Brain Training, heck Club Penguin.
The DS uses its touch novelties to bring new gameplay ideas to the table. The PSP uses one analog stick (like the Dreamcast) to no avail.

It does nothing I can't find anywhere else of similar quality.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

The PSP Go is what happened. When I first heard about the PSP go I thought it was a good Idea. I figured less components means it will cost less and have a longer battery life. I has neither of those things. It's all around horrible.
