It's not a prejudice against homossexuals. Stephen Toulouse, the person in charge of enforcement for Xbox LIVE, said more than once that this rule applies for every content of sexual nature, being it heterossexual or homossexual. When this person said she was a lesbian, she was making a statement of sexual nature redardless of being related to her lifestyle.
Saying you're straight will get you punished aswell. If you're a guy and you write "I have sex everyday with my girlfriend" you can argue that it's related to your lifestile but ultimately it's a statement of sexual nature and will get you punished.
People only talk about this kind of stuff when it affects minorities.
