SciFiBoy said: most of the music I listen to is from before 1999, anything on my ipod from after that year is largely new stuff by bands who formed pre-1999. most music I hear these days just doesnt do it for me, the music I love, I love because it hooked me in and when I hear it I think "this is great", whenever I hear the radio or charts these days, I think "urgh, this hurts my ears with its failure"

Sounds exactly like me! Or the stuff after that is from a artists from a band I listened to before that and now they have a new project.
LOL!!!! NOW I KNOW PS3 IS JUST TROLLING/JOKE ACCOUNT!
LOL LOL LOL! To say the 80's brought music back!!!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL the 80's was the WORST decade for music... People would rather forget that decade even happened. LOL LOL LOL... and don't get me wrong. I love those hair bands with their catchy tunes. Blue Monday is a awesome song to tap your foot and sing too.

Come on now! Music from the 80's were fantastic. Early 90's music were also great. Everything afterwards went downhill, IMO.

Well...
A. We aren't out of the 00's yet.. so I didn't really consider it when I made that post
and...
B. I don't listen to anything from the 00's... so even if we were out of it there'd be a black hole for a decade for me like it never existed.. lol
but yeah I guess next year there will be a new decade to be crowned worse decade for music.
I listen and love most things from the mid 90's. But I'm heavily into the indy scene so none of those bands made it real big... as in radio play but they did have tours and sold out shows throughout the country.
